Our office hound, Chloe, was busy in the community this past month having a great time participating in two different Dog-Harmony Kids & Canines classes at the Emerald Coast Science Center and the Seaside School Foundation. Founder, Nancy Bown, and Chloe demoed how to read a lost dog’s microchip, reviewed canine body language, worked with the kids on recall, and demonstrated why it is so vitally important to teach kids (and families) responsible dog ownership so dogs don’t keep cycling through the shelters.

UPCOMING EVENTS

St. Louis, MO - Can’t decide on your college major? Burnt out in your current job, but don’t know what to do next? Want to find meaningful work in retirement?

The information you need to answer these questions will be captured in this one-day Career Exploration workshop! Not only will you leave the workshop with occupations that match your assessment results, but you’ll have a template that describes what YOU need for work to be satisfying—which can help you navigate your entire professional career.

The next workshop, limited to 8 participants, will be held in person on Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 am-3:30 pm at 50 Crestwood Executive Center, Suite 401, St. Louis, MO. The registration deadline is Friday, November 11, 2022.

You will complete two assessments before the workshop and one assessment the day of the workshop. All of the surveys are fun and easy—there are no right or wrong answers.

The cost for the workshop is $200+ less than individual career counseling sessions, which is much less than a semester of the wrong college courses and invaluable in relieving the stress and anxiety of being in the wrong career. Invest in yourself and in your future!

Key takeaways from the workshop:

  • Receive your results at the workshop: Learn how to read the reports, analyze the information, and how to use free, online databases to make a good career decision.

  • Take home your reports, along with the 15-page Inspired LifeworkShop Workbook, and new skills in how to know if a college degree, new job, or career opportunity is right for you.

About: Glenda Sullentrup is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Career Counselor with over 20 years of experience.
