America celebrates its semiquincentennial this year, and the Emerald Coast is pulling out all the stops. From sunrise parades to late-night fireworks over the Gulf, here's your curated guide to the best Independence Day weekend events across the region, and we're still adding more.
Saturday, June 27
Rags to Riches Regatta
The Rags to Riches Regatta dates back to sailing tradition, founded in 1981, when a group of sailors in Grayton Beach planned a friendly competition with a $20 buy-in to be held on Independence Day.
This year, 30A locals and visitors will gather to cheer on teams as they navigate 16-foot Hobie Cats in a race that starts in Grayton Beach (originally known as the “rags” side of town) and ends farther east in Seagrove (known as the “riches” neighborhood). The race starts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Grayton Beach.
Presented by Crater Train Brewing Company, The 30A Company, and Tribe Kelley Surf Post, the race proceeds benefit South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA), whose mission is to protect and preserve our local marine resources.
Wednesday, July 1
Destin Family Independence Day Celebration & Bike Parade
Kick off Independence Day week with Destin's annual Family Independence Day Celebration and Bike Parade for children 16 and younger on Wednesday, July 1, at the Destin Elementary School Track. The festivities run from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Destin Elementary School track, with the parade stepping off at 6:00 p.m. The event also features food trucks, face painting, arts and crafts, and a waterslide.

America Salutes: A Musical Celebration of 250 Years of Freedom
Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) and Grand Boulevard invite you to an unforgettable evening of live music honoring 250 years of American freedom from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, at Grand Park at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin. Featuring ECTC’s talented theatre professionals alongside ECTC students, this is a celebration of country, community, and the power of performance. Come early and enjoy dinner at one of Grand Boulevard’s incredible restaurants, then settle in with your chairs or a blanket for an evening you won’t forget.

Star-Spangled Food Truck Festival
Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary at Destin Commons' 4th Annual Star-Spangled Food Truck Festival on Friday, July 3, starting at 4:30 p.m. The evening features more than 25 food trucks with an international lineup — Thai, Filipino, gourmet grilled cheese, sweet treats, and more — alongside live music from 12Eleven (4:30–6:30 p.m.) and Below Alabama (7:00–9:00 p.m.), plus face painting and a photo booth. The evening concludes with a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m.
Blue Mountain Bakery Block Party
Celebrate community, music, and a great cause at the Blue Mountain Bakery’s Block Party on Friday, July 3, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live bluegrass music from Longleaf Drive while enjoying dinner and dessert. The bakery will be serving up BBQ brisket and shrimp boil plates, with pre-orders highly encouraged for larger parties. Most importantly, all event proceeds will directly benefit a Blue Mountain Bakery employee’s grandchild who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade
Kick off Independence Day the Grayton Beach way — funky, festive, and wide open to everyone. Line up on Hotz Avenue next to The Red Bar by 8:00 AM and join the parade at 8:30 AM sharp. Deck out your bike, jeep, scooter, golf cart, boat, or anything with wheels in red, white, and blue — no registration required. The route winds through the historic village past beloved Grayton landmarks. After the parade, watermelon and lemonade are served at Grayton Coast Properties.
Firecracker 5K
Kick off Independence Day with the Firecracker 5K in historic downtown Pensacola, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida, on Saturday, July 4. Runners and walkers are welcome on the course that starts and ends at Seville Quarter — patriotic attire encouraged. Following the 5K, a Kids Fun Run takes place, and participants can celebrate with giveaways and post-race festivities at the McDonald's After Party inside Seville Quarter. Registration closes July 2 at 11:59 PM; late registration ($50) is available through race morning.

Crestview XC Fourth of July 5K
Start Independence Day with a patriotic run or walk at the Crestview XC Fourth of July 5K on Saturday, July 4. Registration is $30, and the race begins at 1250 N. Ferdon Blvd in Crestview.

Seaside Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks Spectacular
Seaside's beloved all-day Independence Day celebration is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, packed with patriotic spirit, music, and family fun. The morning kicks off with the annual Central Square Block Party at 9:00 AM, featuring the Emerald Coast Theatre Company performing Ragged Old Flag, the National Anthem, and a full patriotic performance. Live music from Huck & Lily follows at 10:00 AM, then at 11:00 AM, a Children's Patriotic Bike Parade winds through the neighborhood led by a brass band, capped by Wild Bill's Beach Dogs' annual Hot Dog Eating Contest at 11:30 AM. Live music continues in Krier Plaza from 2:00–4:00 PM, Sinfonia Gulf Coast takes the stage at 7:00 PM for a Patriotic Pops Concert, and the night caps with a fireworks spectacular over the Gulf at 8:30 PM — all part of Seaside's special celebration of America's 250th birthday.

The Rooftop at The Pointe on 30A Grand Opening Party
The Rooftop at The Pointe on 30A is officially open to the public, and they are celebrating with an unforgettable 4th of July grand opening bash from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Take in breathtaking rooftop views of Rosemary Beach and the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying live music by Jacob Mohr from 4:30–7:30 PM. Guests will be treated to complimentary sliders and sides (while supplies last), alongside a wide variety of beer, wine, and select holiday drink specials. It's the ultimate vantage point to catch multiple fireworks displays stretching from Panama City Beach all the way down 30A.

Light Up the Bayou Fireworks Spectacular
Niceville's beloved annual Independence Day celebration kicks off at 3:00 PM with food trucks and live music at Lions Park on Boggy Bayou on Saturday, July 4. The evening builds to a spectacular community fireworks display launched from a floating barge in the middle of the bayou at approximately 8:45 PM, visible from multiple waterfront vantage points, including Lions Park, Lincoln Park in Valparaiso, Kiwanis Park, Shipyard Point Park, and Niceville Landing.
Hundreds of boats also anchor in the bayou for the show. The event is entirely free and funded by community donations and local business sponsorships. 4th of July Celebration – Fort Walton Beach Landing
The City of Fort Walton Beach celebrates America's 250th birthday at the Fort Walton Beach Landing from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, with a high-energy performance by Scratch 2020 and a fireworks show over Santa Rosa Sound at approximately 8:45 PM. Live music, food vendors, and waterfront views make this a standout Emerald Coast holiday event.
The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island – 4th of July Fireworks
Head to The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island for a coastal Independence Day celebration capped by a fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.
HarborWalk Village 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate the 4th at HarborWalk Village with live music from Flash Flood starting at 7:00 p.m., street performers, fire spinners, and patriotic music — all building to one of the best waterfront views on the Emerald Coast for the City of Destin's official fireworks display over the harbor at 9:00 PM, including a possible drone show in honor of America's 250th anniversary.
Red, White, and Baytowne
Ring in America's birthday at The Village of Baytowne Wharf's annual Red, White, and Baytowne celebration. The free, family-friendly evening features live music from Saltwater Revival on the Events Plaza Stage from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., kids' activities including face painting, balloon sculpting, and patriotic crafts, and a fireworks display over the lagoon at 9:15 p.m.
Party in the Park – Crestview
Crestview celebrates America's 250th Independence Day with the annual Party in the Park at Twin Hills Park — a free, family-friendly festival featuring food trucks, live music, a bicycle parade, a kids' playground, and games starting at 5:00 p.m., capped by a fireworks display at approximately 9:00 p.m.
